Project Highlight: LSU - Sepsis Research Commercial

At Aisle 3, we’re big on crafting videos that strike a chord—and this 30-second spot for LSU was no exception. Known for its championship sports program, LSU wanted to remind viewers that it also builds championship teams off the field—specifically, in medical research.

This spot focused on groundbreaking work by LSU doctors, who developed a one-of-a-kind test for Sepsis—a condition that impacts thousands every year.

Goals & Challenges

We needed to grab attention fast—this spot aired during football games, where most viewers are busy with snacks and watch parties. So, we started with intense visuals and striking sounds: bright lights, urgent beeping, and the buzz of a hospital setting. The goal was to cut through the noise—literally.

Filming in a working hospital isn’t easy. We had to stay out of the way, work around active hospital staff, and be prepared to wrap at any moment. Stressful? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.

Aisle 3’s Approach

Our concept was built to mirror the urgency of the message. After the dramatic open, we revealed a sobering statistic about Sepsis, grounding the piece in reality. Over two days, we filmed at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge using an Alexa 35 and working with real doctors and nurses.
